Hi guys,
Sounds like you are having a great time and doing much to help the people in that area...nothing is as rewarding as helping those who can never repay, need the help badly and will forever be thankful for your help...you will forget the pain and dust..the hardship, but you will never forget the smiles..and I predict you will be drawn back to help, again and again.
Blessings, Jack & Jane Verburg.
PS. We have never had an airconditioned land rover..our first trip out of Addis was a 16 hour bus ride south..

Hi Happy travellers..feel like we are on the road with you...totally relate to your adventures...
We also found the the areas to be very dry...dust to dust.
Bottled water & dabu(bread) was our best friend.
Sorting through our 1000's of pictures..could have taken more.
Stay safe & keep in touch, Jack & Jane

Wow..Lalibela...how exciting..brings back memories..had major brusies on my arm, as Jack grabbed me before falling down the mountain..at our pit stop behind a small tree.
We flew back to Addis..could not tolerate the road twice.
Keep safe & healthy..Jack & Jane

yay mike, glad to hear your feeling alittle better. i got that camping once. Apparently your not really suposed to drink the lake water in spring. who knew? anyways hope your taking lots of pictures as i totally look forward to seeing them. classic shots of you holding the camera to take a picture of yourself would be excellent. im unimpressed you didnt smuggle in some ceramic gnomes to take around in your travels. oh well next time. stay out of trouble.

Enjoying our visit with Christopher and Paulo this week, but it will end too soon. Mike, we wish you a speedy return to good health. We enjoy reading every word of your reports. Say hello to your Dad and hope all of the travelers are well and accomplishing the things they planned while in Ethiopia. We are taking a special interest because of our planned trip to Ethiopia in September-December. Keep up the good work.
